New York post punk, post disco band with a wide range of new wave musical influences that played alongside groups such as Liquid Liquid, Bush Tetras, ESG, and The Lounge Lizards, placing them at the forefront of hip hop, house, and electro. Their sound definitely supports what was happening in Manchester around the same time. Richie Edson, who also played with The Lounge Lizards, also played drums on the first Sonic Youth record and has had acting roles in films by Spike Lee and Jim Jarmusch. Shannon Dawson who plays trumpet on the track, was also an early associate of Jean-Michel Basquiat in the band Gray and early SAMO© graffiti, who also did some of the band’s promo poster art work.
