• Crime - Maserati (1980)

Along with a killer logo, Crime also sported some pretty radical outfits and attitudes, even by punk standards. But they never really considered themselves a punk band either. In fact they had one of the most notorious reputations among San Francisco’s early punk scene where they were seen as outcasts among a group of outsiders. They only released three 7” singles from ‘76 to ‘80, performed a range of ill-fated live sets and quietly disbanded by ‘82, but not before arranging a show at San Quentin Penitentiary where they played in standard issue police uniforms to a crowd of confused inmates.
