Snowy Red - Nowhere, 1982 (Dirty Dance)

Snowy Red was a minimal wave outfit from Belgium active throughout the 1980s. Though occasionally a band featuring scattered collaborators, it was primarily an outlet for former Chainsaw guitarist (first Brussels punk band) Micky Mike - real name Marcel Thiel - who released four records and two cover records under his proper name before seemingly disappearing from the music scene in the early nineties. After the Belgian New Beat boom, Snowy Red called it quits and Micky Mike disappeared, only for the band to resurface again in 2004 as a duo with a guitarist at the Belgian Independent Music festival. According to his discogs page “Micky Mike now is history: He died in Bruxelles in May 2009 at the age of 52 years.”
