Great no wave track off the debut album from Lizzy Mercier Descloux, a self taught guitarist and avant-garde artist who dropped out of art school to manage a punk boutique and record store in Paris in 1975 with her partner Michel Esteban who would later co-found ZE Records upon moving to New York. “Torso Corso” is the epitome of her trés cool minimalist atonal sound, featuring spindly guitars and wrong-note harmonies next to an anxious build of rhythmic humming and chanted lyrics.
